Feds Seek Revival of Trump’s Small Business Health Plan Rule

The U.S. Labor Department called on a federal appeals court to revive the Trump administration’s rule on association health plans.

The rule, which allows small businesses to offer health plans that are less expensive—and less robust—than plans governed by the Affordable Care Act, is a reasonable implementation of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act, the department said in a May 31 brief.
