Ex-McKinsey Consultant, First Unum Settle Covid Disability Suit

A former McKinsey & Co. consultant experiencing severe fatigue and brain fog after a “relatively mild” bout of Covid-19 reached a settlement with First Unum Life Insurance Co. of America in her lawsuit seeking disability benefits.

The parties announced their settlement in a Sept. 8 filing in the US District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. The filing included no details about the terms of the agreement, and an attorney for the consultant declined to comment. A lawyer for First Unum didn’t respond to an e-mailed inquiry.
