Ex-McKesson Analyst Revives Disability Benefits Suit in 7th Cir.

A former McKesson Corp. employee with chronic pain and sleep disorders on Thursday convinced the Seventh Circuit to revive his lawsuit seeking disability benefits from a unit of New York Life Insurance Co.

The district judge who ruled that Scott Scanlon could perform his sedentary occupation as a systems analyst failed to consider an evaluation showing that he couldn’t sit for more than 15 minutes at a time or more than 3 hours per day, the US Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit said.
