Ex-Ardent Health Workers Seek Class of 17,000 in 401(k) Lawsuit

Former employees of Nashville-based hospital system Ardent Health Services moved to certify a 17,000-person class in their federal lawsuit challenging the fees and investment options in the hospital’s $778 million retirement plan.

The three named plaintiffs, led by Mark McCool, seek a class of all participants and beneficiaries in the Ardent Health retirement plan since December 2013. McCool says the lawsuit brings claims on behalf of the entire plan and challenges conduct that equally affected all plan participants.
