DuPont, Corteva Sued Over Pension Benefits After Restructuring

DuPont de Nemours Inc. and Corteva Inc. were sued by an employee who says the companies’ recent corporate restructuring disrupted his longtime plan to take early retirement pension benefits, according to a federal proposed class action filed in Pennsylvania.

Plaintiff Robert Cockerill says he began working for DuPont in 1992, accepting multiple cross-country transfers with the goal of retiring at age 58 under a pension plan provision extending full, unreduced retirement benefits to workers whose age and years of service equal at least 85.
