DuPont, Corteva Sued by Worker Over Forfeited Pension Money (1)

DuPont de Nemours Inc. and Corteva Inc. were sued in federal court in Delaware by a former DuPont employee who claims he forfeited more than $135,000 in pension benefits because no one told him he was eligible for a full pension before reaching age 65.

The proposed class action, filed Oct. 2 in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, says the DuPont Pension and Retirement Plan allows certain employees who are involuntarily terminated to receive full pensions before reaching the plan’s normal retirement age of 65.
