Dollar General Worker Gets Trial Over Medical Leave Retaliation

A Dollar General Corp. employee who was terminated after allegedly climbing on warehouse racks in violation of safety rules can go to trial on her claim of retaliation under the Family and Medical Leave Act, an Indiana federal judge ruled.

Pauleen Mathias showed, by a “slim margin,” that her 2019 termination was causally linked to her request to take FMLA leave and work a reduced schedule because of an ankle injury, Judge Holly A.
