Dignity Health Seeks SCOTUS Relief in Pension Case

California hospital system Dignity Health is calling on Justice Anthony M. Kennedy for temporary relief from a decision holding it liable for mismanaging and underfunding its pension plans (Dignity Health v. Rollins, U.S., No. 16-258, application to stay mandate filed 9/7/16).

In a petition filed Sept. 7, Dignity asked Kennedy to hit the pause button on a U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit ruling forcing the hospital to run its pension plans in accordance with the Employee Retirement Income Security Act.
