The Labor Department won a $338,452 default judgment against a defunct printing company that was accused of mismanaging its employee health and 401(k) plans in connection with its 2018 bankruptcy, according to a Pennsylvania federal court order.
The order, issued Monday by Judge Berle M. Schiller, holds Great Atlantic Graphics Inc. and two former executives liable for covering employees’ medical bills during the period in which their health coverage was canceled as a result of the company’s failure to forward insurance premiums.
