DaVita, Workers Finalize $2 Million Class Deal Over 401(k) Plan

Dialysis provider DaVita Inc. received final approval for $2 million class settlement resolving litigation over the fees tied to its employees’ 401(k) plan.

The agreement will benefit about 56,000 people covered by DaVita’s plan since 2016, according to the settlement motion. It resolves claims that the company filled the plan with expensive mutual funds and paid excessive annual recordkeeping fees as high as $96 per person.
