Court Orders $25K Surety Bond for Contributions

A concrete company must post a $25,000 surety bond and pay a multiemployer fund $7,485 in liquidated damages and attorneys’ fees and costs for its delinquency in making contributions, according to an arbitration award confirmed by the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey (Int’l Union of Op. Eng’rs Local 825 Emp. Benefit Fudns v. Altura Concrete, Inc., 2015 BL 245924, D.N.J., 2:14-cv-05743 (KM), 7/30/15).
