Columbia University trustees and a class of employees who challenged the school’s retirement plan management failed to resolve their dispute through mediation and are preparing for a spring trial, the parties told a Manhattan federal judge on Wednesday.
The case, which challenges the fees and investment options in Columbia’s retirement plans, was put on hold last month so the parties could engage in private mediation ahead of their January 2021 trial date.
