Cognizant Workers Must Explain Standing in 401(k) Fees Challenge

A federal judge weighing Cognizant Technology Solutions US Corp.'s 401(k) plan investment fees ordered the former employees who filed suit to better explain how they have standing to press certain of their claims.

There’s “no doubt” the workers have standing with respect to their allegations that touch on the entire plan, Judge Michael E. Farbiarz said in an order issued Thursday. But the judge identified “potential standing issues” for other aspects of the case and ordered the workers to either explain these issues in a letter or file an amended complaint.
