A $3.3 million class settlement between Coca-Cola Bottlers’ Association and participants in its retirement plan received final court approval, as did a $1.1 million attorneys’ fee award for class counsel.
The settlement will be paid by the association’s insurer and is expected to benefit more than 64,000 people covered by the Coca-Cola retirement plan since February 2015, excluding certain defendants, according to the workers’ settlement motion. Class members will receive distributions in their 401(k) accounts or by check, with each member receiving an amount that corresponds to their level of investment in the plan, according to the filing.
