A former Chicago police officer whose pension was revoked after his felony convictions for providing false testimony in a narcotics case lost his state court appeal raising constitutional claims and violations of the Illinois Open Meetings Act.
William Pruente accused the Retirement Board of the Policemen’s Annuity & Pension Benefit Fund of violating state open meetings rules by failing to notify him of the December 2019 meeting at which it revoked an earlier decision approving his pension application.
