Cedars-Sinai Retirement Fee Suit Settles After Class Bid Failed

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Inc. agreed to settle litigation over its retirement plan’s fees and investment options, according to a court notice filed two months after the lawsuit failed to secure class status.

The parties struck a deal to resolve the matter on a class-wide basis and plan to submit details of the agreement for court approval by April 1, they told Judge Josephine L. Staton in a joint notice.

The filing, docketed Wednesday in the US District Court for the Central District of California, follows Staton’s December 2014 decision declining to certify the matter as a 16,000-person class action. ...
