A federal district court in South Carolina granted in part and denied in part Schlumberger Technology Corporation Pension Plan’s motion to dismiss, and granted Schlumberger Technology Corporation’s motion to dismiss, this ERISA action by a former employee’s surviving spouse, challenging the denial of her surviving spouse benefits. The court determined that the spouse failed to show that service of Schlumberger Technology Corporation was proper.
