A federal district court in Pennsylvania granted First Unum Life Insurance Co.'s motion for summary judgment on an employee’s ERISA action challenging the denial of long-term disability benefits. The court said that the employee didn’t demonstrate that Unum’s denial of long-term disability benefits was arbitrary and capricious.
