Case: Health Care & Benefits/Long-Term Disability Benefits (D. Ariz.)

The district of Arizona granted Unum Life Insurance Company of America and Unum Group’s motion to transfer to the district of Oregon a PeaceHealth employee’s action for breach of contract and bad faith relating to the denial of his long-term disability benefits. According to the court, the action could have been brought in Oregon, which is the more appropriate forum for the adjudication of this case.
