A federal district court in Wisconsin granted the Wisconsin Masons Welfare Fund summary judgment in an employee’s ERISA action claiming that the withdrawing members of Local 599 didn’t get their equitable share of the property and funds. The court said that it was reasonable for the trustees to conclude that transferring only the participants’ balances in the member dollar banks struck an equitable balance between the needs of the withdrawing employees and the needs of the remaining participants in the fund.
