A federal district court in Texas granted Metropolitan Life Insurance Company’s motion to dismiss a beneficiary’s ERISA action challenging the denial of benefits under Huffines Auto Dealership’s life insurance and accidental death benefits plans. The court said that the decedent didn’t have accidental death coverage at the time of his death.
