Campbell Soup Retiree Loses Third Circuit Appeal Over Pension

Campbell Soup Co.'s pension committee defeated a Third Circuit appeal by a retiree who said her pension was shortchanged because she wasn’t credited for more than 10 years of service.

Sherry Miller worked for the food maker, recently renamed Campbell’s Co., for nearly 30 years before her 2015 retirement. She released her claims against the company when she signed a severance agreement giving her nearly two years’ worth of pay and medical coverage, the US Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit said Thursday in an unpublished opinion.
