Boston Children’s Hospital will pay $3 million to settle a proposed class action filed by workers who say their retirement plan fees are too high.
The proposed deal would benefit more than 20,000 people covered by the hospital’s retirement plan since January 2016, according to the workers’ motion for settlement approval filed Monday in Boston federal court. The motion didn’t include an estimate of the workers’ potential recovery in the case, saying that the parties exchanged “confidential information” on the plan’s alleged losses in connection with their settlement negotiations.
