Boston Children’s Hospital finalized a $3 million class settlement resolving a lawsuit by workers who say their retirement plan pays excessive fees for administrative services.
The agreement is expected to benefit more than 20,000 people covered by the hospital’s retirement plan since January 2016. Judge Julia E. Kobick granted final approval to the deal and awarded class counsel $1 million in attorneys’ fees and more than $90,000 in litigation expenses in an order issued Monday in the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
