A bill that would extend several telehealth regulatory flexibilities implemented during the Covid-19 pandemic advanced through a key House committee with bipartisan support.
The House Energy and Commerce Committee on Wednesday voted 41-0 in favor of the Telehealth Modernization Act of 2024 (H.R. 7623). The bill, introduced by Rep. Buddy Carter (R-Ga.) and cosponsored by 19 lawmakers, would extend several telehealth flexibilities in the Medicare program over the next couple years.
