Bayada Home Health Care Inc. defeated a proposed class action challenging its retirement plan fees and funds, when a federal judge offered a defendant-friendly take on the US Supreme Court’s most recent ERISA opinion.
The workers challenged the Bayada plan’s recordkeeping and advisory fees under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act’s prohibited transaction rules, which put guardrails on arrangements between benefit plans and their service providers.
