Barnes & Thornburg LLP reached a settlement with a retired attorney who allegedly lost out on more than $250,000 in tax savings after the law firm and its service providers mishandled his retirement plan contributions.
The retired attorney announced the settlement in a notice filed Monday in the US District Court for the Southern District of Indiana. The two-page notice didn’t include details about the terms of the agreement, and lawyers for the attorney and the firm didn’t immediately respond to emailed inquiries.
