AutoZone Workers Reach Deal With Northern Trust, Try 401(k) Suit

AutoZone Inc. workers challenging the fees and investment allocation service in their 401(k) plan tentatively struck a deal to end their claims against Northern Trust Corp. as they began presenting their claims against the auto-parts company at trial.

Northern Trust and the AutoZone workers reached an agreement in principle, according to a docket entry administratively pausing the lawsuit with respect to the company. The entry doesn’t include details about the terms of the agreement, and counsel for the workers and Northern Trust, which served as an investment adviser for AutoZone’s retirement plan, didn’t immediately respond to inquiries.
