AT&T, Workers Face Questions Over Class Bid in Pension Data Suit

A federal judge hearing a dispute over AT&T Inc.'s pension plan calculations expressed doubt about certifying the case as a class action covering thousands of people.

Judge James Donato on Tuesday ordered the parties to submit more information about how benefits are calculated under AT&T’s pension plan and whether a decision requiring changes to the plan could hurt or unfairly benefit certain workers.
