Ardent Health’s $475,000 settlement with a class of 17,000 workers received final court approval, ending litigation over the Nashville-based hospital system’s retirement plan fees and investment options.
The agreement covers plan participants and beneficiaries since December 2013 and represents between 26% and 33% of their maximum estimated damages. Judge William L. Campbell Jr. granted final approval to the deal and awarded class counsel more than $250,000 in fees and expenses in a pair of orders issued Thursday in the US District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee.
