Anthem Wins Round in Lawsuit Over Eating Disorder Treatment

Anthem Blue Cross Life & Health Insurance Co. won an early bid to toss out a proposed class action accusing it of “systematically and unlawfully” denying requests for residential treatment of eating disorders (Bailey v. Anthem Blue Cross Life & Health Ins. Co., N.D. Cal., 4:16-cv-04439, 5/23/17).

Judge Jeffrey S. White of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California May 23 dismissed certain claims against Anthem.
