American Airlines Wants Class Axed in Paid Military Leave Suit

American Airlines Group Inc. wants to undo a court order certifying a class of pilots seeking paid military leave, saying it’s become increasingly clear that class-wide resolution isn’t feasible.

The 2021 order granting class status to hundreds of pilots said the case turned on the common question of whether short-term military leave is comparable to leave for jury duty and bereavement, the airline said.
