Judge Reed O’Connor ordered the airline to pay about half of the lawyers’ requested fees of nearly $8 million. The plaintiff pilot prevailed on only one of his legal theories and didn’t win damages, O’Connor said, and he isn’t entitled to fees for pressing theories the court rejected.
