Aetna’s Disability Benefit Denial Affirmed

Aetna Life Insurance Co. won a dispute over long-term disability benefits brought by a plan participant who engaged in part-time work as a college instructor during her period of supposed disability, according to a June 9 ruling of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania (Reeder v. Aetna Life Ins. Co., 2015 BL 181085, M.D. Pa., 4:14-cv-00161-MWB, 6/9/15).
