Aerotech Inc. workers secured class action status in their lawsuit challenging the Pittsburgh-based motion systems manufacturer’s decision to keep a significant chunk of its employee stock ownership plan in cash-like investments.
Judge W. Scott Hardy granted the workers’ motion seeking a certified class of about 500 people covered by the Aerotech stock plan since April 2018. Aerotech didn’t oppose the motion, Hardy said in an order issued Wednesday in the US District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
