Advocate Aurora Health Inc. agreed to settle a proposed class action challenging its practice of charging tobacco-using employees extra fees for healthcare coverage.
The parties reached a settlement in principle and must update the court on their progress by July 16, Judge LaShonda A. Hunt said in a one-page docket entry. The entry, posted Tuesday in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, didn’t include details about the terms of the deal.
