Advance Auto Parts Workers Finalize $1.7 Million 401(k) Deal

A $1.7 million class settlement benefiting participants in an Advance Auto Parts Inc. subsidiary’s retirement plan received final court approval, along with an award of more than $600,000 in attorneys’ fees and expenses.

The 22,000-person deal requires Advance Stores Co. to look for a new retirement recordkeeper within three years and ensure that its plan fiduciaries undergo annual training, according to the settlement motion.
