Advance Auto Parts 401(k) Plan Fee Lawsuit Gets Class Treatment

An Advance Auto Parts Inc. subsidiary is now facing a certified class of about 22,000 people in a federal lawsuit over its 401(k) plan fees.

The class includes all the Advance Auto Parts 401(k) plan’s participants and beneficiaries since October 2015, except the defendants and their family members and anyone who signed a relevant release agreement. Judge Michael F. Urbanski of the US District Court for the Western District of Virginia certified the class in an opinion docketed Monday, saying the case turns on common questions of plan management and oversight.
