Pennsylvania Couple Loses Court Fight Over $3 in Oil Royalties

A Pennsylvania couple seeking to recover about $3 in oil and gas royalties from an ExxonMobil Corp. subsidiary lost their bid to convince a federal district court to continue their class claims.

Writing in a tone that bordered on admonishment, Judge Cathy Bissoon of the US District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania granted XTO Energy Inc. its bid for summary judgment Tuesday because the company paid the couple the remaining $2.57 they said they were owed.
