Lockheed Martin Workers Seek Class Discovery in Race Bias Case

A group of black workers suing Lockheed Martin Corp. for alleged racial discrimination in the company’s performance appraisal system told a federal court they need “ample discovery” on their potential class claims.

And the discovery should take place before the group, which is expected to number in the thousands, seeks certification as a class, the workers told the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia April 16.

Specifically, six months of fact discovery and five months of expert discovery is needed so the parties can properly brief the court on the class certification issue, they say.
