Pawn Brokers to Pay $3.2 Million to Settle 2021 Data-Breach Suit

Pawn America Minnesota LLC, Payday America Inc., and PAL Card Minnesota LLC would pay nearly $3.2 million to settle a lawsuit arising from a 2021 data breach, under a proposed deal filed in federal court.

Class members would be eligible to receive up to $5,000 in reimbursement for documented losses from the breach, and a pro rata cash payment from the net settlement fund after deduction of attorneys’ fees, litigation costs, and administrative costs.
