Microsoft Settles Suit Over Activision Deal

Microsoft agreed to pay $250 million to end shareholder litigation over its $75.4 billion acquisition of Activision, Mike Leonard reports.

The lawsuit, filed by a Swedish pension fund, alleged that the ex-CEO of Activision—with his company facing a thicket of damaging media coverage and litigation alleging sexual harassment—tipped Microsoft about his desperation to get a deal done, giving the tech giant the chance to orchestrate a lowball offer.
