California Proposes 14% Revenue Increase for Edison

California Public Utilities Commission issues proposed decision on Southern California Edison’s 2025 General Rate Case, according to a filing.

  • The proposed decision approves a 2025 base revenue requirement of $9.756 billion, a 14% increase over SCE’s current level and lower than SCE’s requested 22% increase.
  • It authorizes revenue increases of $453 million, or 4.6%, in 2026; $411 million, or 4%, in 2027; and $374 million, or 3.5%, in 2028; with increases beginning between January through September 2025 spread over 24 months to reduce rate shock.
