Anthropic, OpenAI Urged to Stay in Delaware
Shareholders will be watching whether OpenAI and Anthropic follow SpaceX’s lead when the time comes for their IPOs, Drew Hutchinson reports.
Some shareholder proponents want the companies to stay in Delaware, where two-thirds of the Fortune 500 are incorporated, as the state’s laws protects shareholders’ access to the courts.
Avoiding Texas, where SpaceX moved, would address a litany of concerns surrounding the next two AI giants’ public offerings, said Kyle Seeley, head of stewardship at New York State Common Retirement Fund.
