Zurich American Insurance Worker Gets Trial on Age Bias Claims

Zurich American Insurance Co. was unable to get a fired employee’s age discrimination claims dropped, as a federal court in California said enough evidence had been presented to put before a jury his allegations that the company’s stated reason for firing him was a pretext.

Howard Davis worked for Zurich for more than 30 years, most recently in claims support. He was terminated at age 58.
