Zulily Accused of Failure to Provide Workers Pay, Layoff Notice

Zulily LLC laid off remote workers without paying them or providing adequate notice under federal law, a proposed class action alleges.

The plaintiffs allege violations of the federal Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act and the Washington State Wage Rebate Act in a complaint filed Monday in the US District Court for the Western District of Washington. The complaint alleges that Regent LP, a private equity firm, acquired Zulily in May 2023 but then decided to liquidate the e-commerce company in December 2023.
