Zimmer Biomet Defeats Female Senior VP’s Sex, Pay Bias Claims

A former senior vice president with Zimmer Biomet Holdings Inc. lacks proof she was constructively discharged and denied accrued severance benefits because she is a woman, the Northern District of Indiana ruled.

She was one of six Biomet executives, and the only woman, who remained after the company merged with Zimmer in 2014, the court said. She was also tapped for the merged company’s 12-member operating committee, where she was one of just three woman.

She worked directly under CEO David Dvorak, who she said belittled her during committee meetings.
