YRC Freight to Pay Teamsters $1 Million Settlement

Transportation company YRC Freight will pay $1 million to settle allegations by Teamsters drivers that it violated a union contract, a union spokesman told Bloomberg Law.

The contract puts a cap on how many miles nonunionized drivers can haul freight for the company. “Service and personnel interruptions” during the 2017 hurricane season caused YRC to exceed the maximum number of miles it allowed nonunion drivers to haul goods, the spokesman said.
