Yale University, Hospital Sued by Doctors for Sex Harassment (1)

A group of female doctors claim Yale University continually gives “passes” and “the benefit of the doubt” to powerful men accused of sexual harassment and discrimination, according to a lawsuit filed Thursday in Connecticut federal court.

Mia Castro, a pediatric anesthesiology fellow, and five other anesthesiologists sued Yale University, Yale New Haven Hospital Inc., and Manuel Lopes Fontes, an anesthesiology professor, for sex discrimination and retaliation under Title IX. They also brought assault, battery, and invasion of privacy claims against Fontes.
