X Forced to Arbitrate Laid-Off Twitter Workers’ Claims, Pay Fees

X Corp. employees who lost their jobs following Elon Musk’s Twitter takeover can make the company participate in and pay for arbitration, joining other workers who successfully fought the social media platform for fees.

Workers filed several suits asking federal judges to make X go through with arbitration after the company balked at covering the bulk of the initial fees. X must participate in the workers’ individual arbitrations and pay fees as determined by the private organization overseeing the proceedings, the US District Court for the Western District of Washington said in two of those cases Aug. 1.
